Mark is currently Data Analytics lead with Glanbia Business Services in Kilkenny, Ireland. He has been working with data since 1988, when he received a highly commended award at that year's Young Scientists exhibition for a data driven project about the effect of air pollution on photosynthesis.

Mark studied architecture in college and worked as an architect for fifteen years in Paris and Dublin, successfully delivering buildings with multi-million Euro budgets as a design team lead and project manager. He is a former member of the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland and the National Register of Architects.

Before joining Glanbia in 2014, Mark returned to college to complete a post-graduate qualification in data analytics, winning DIT's Zynga Prize in 2014 for best dissertation that year. He uses Databricks and RStudio for data analysis, Tableau and ggPlot for data visualization, and his CV is available here.
